Thayer's Greek-English Lexicon of the New Testament: a dictionary numerically coded to Strong's exhaustive concordance by Joseph Thayer
For over a century, Thayer's has been lauded as one of the best New Testament lexicons available. Both accessible and thorough, it is a work suited for the student of New Testament Greek. Thayer's provides dictionary definitions for each word and relates each word to its New Testament usage and categorizes its nuances of meaning. Its exhaustive coverage of New Testament Greek words, as well as its extensive quotation of extra-biblical word usage and the wealth of background sources consulted show more and quoted, render Thayer's an invaluable resource. show less
Greek-English Lexicon of the New Testament Being Grimm's Wilke's Clavis Novi Testamenti by Joseph Thayer
Originally published by C. G. Wilke (second edition, 2 vols. 1851), the present Greek Lexicon was translated, revised and enlarged by J. H. Thayer and published in 1885. This revised, "Corrected Edition" was first published on April 10, 1889. Unfortunate for Thayer, shortly after the lexicon's publication, numerous papyri discoveries and the subsequent scholarship, quickly dated the lexicon.
Thayer's Greek-English Lexicon of the New Testament: Coded with Strong's Concordance Numbers by Joseph Thayer
Older than Vine's, but valuable resource. Thayer was unitarian, but honest in dealing with the meaning of the Greek text.
Thayer's Greek-English Lexicon of the New Testament: Being Grimm's Wilke's Clavis Novi Testamenti by Joseph Thayer
Great resource for any bible student. If you are unfimiliar with Greek, it is linked to Strong's numbers. If you are familiar with Greek, this provides more thourough definitions that more exhaustive lexicons but not as much as your larger dictionaries such as Kittels.
