As a resident of Florida, a photographer, and an owner of a Clyde Butcher's photograph, this book was a joy to examine. Sitting peacefully and accessing each photograph reminded me of the awesome wonder of nature. We take for granted the landscape that surrounds us in Florida.
His photographs takes us back to a less stressful time and place even though this beautiful scenery still surrounds us today.
Highly recommended for all photographers and lovers of nature.

A wonderful book of black and white fine art photographs that focuses on the preservation of Florida. A great addition to my collection of Clyde Butcher's photography. I own a signed copy by author and photographer.
Absolutely amazing photographs of the mysterious land of Cuba. Purchased the book because not only are we going to Cuba soon, Clyde Butcher is coming to Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art, Tarpon Springs, FL for a show from December, 2013 to January, 2014. His clouds are out of this world. His is Florida's best photographer.
From alibris.com: Clyde Butcher's images are captured with an 8" x 10," 11" x 14," or 12" x 20" view camera. The large-format camera allows him to express in elaborate detail the textures that distinguish the exquisite beauty of the landscape. The book is the companion to the upcoming PBS documentary "Living Waters: Aquatic Preserves of Florida."
