This book is kind of totally pointless (the puzzles are pretty easy), but I couldn’t resist adding more Where the Wild Things Are merch to my collection. The scenes chosen were some pretty classic ones from the film, which aptly showcase the whole narrative of the story from Max running away in the boat, to his conflict with the Wild Things, and his eventual return home. More than anything I enjoyed revisiting the intricate details of the cinematography, since the film is so luscious that show more it deserves an art book, and the puzzles were a way in which to explore various small scenes throughout the film. show less

This is a very cool book that comes with six 8X10 35 piece puzzles. The puzzle is on one page, while the other page has an insert that shows you what you are trying to put together (the picture), and it also has an explanation of what is going on in that point in the movie. Each page is also equipped with a clear plastic sleeve that will keep your puzzle in place once it is used. This is a very cool book for tactile learners. Cat on the Mat is a book for young children. This book helps children interact with what is taking place as the cat sits on various items throughout the book. The story starts with the cat sittting on the mat. The cat continues to sit on things like food, the chair and the bed. The illustrations are very detailed, they give you the atmosphere of a live cat as the story takes you on a journey of all the possible places a cat can sit.
