Genre: Informational
This is an informational book about the Earth and some of the features of it. This book includes information about the Earth's atmosphere, seasons, landforms, oceans, volcanoes, earthquakes, and continents. This book is designed in the form of question-and-answer- a question is asked, followed by an explanation. There are also a lot of graphs, pictures, and text features. This book is overwhelming to look at when you open it up. There is a lot of information on every show more page, and I am not sure where to start with it. This book is also very fact-heavy, which may not be best for younger readers. I do not think this book would hold the attention of many students unless they were passionate about the Earth. I do like the images that were included, and I like that there is a brief paragraph that describes the different sections of the book. The information in the book is good, but I think it would be better suited for older students doing a research project.
Uses: This book would be good to use during a research project about one of the topics included in this book.
Media: Pictures, digital show less

I'm going to be teaching my nieces very soon, so I got this book in preparation for that. It's a nice hardcover book. The pictures are nice and bright and the info was very good and not too hard to read. I liked the variety of topics. I would recommend this book. 5 out of 5 stars.
