I was very excited to receive this book for review! I love both medical and military thrillers..... this is sort of Robin Cook meets Tom Clancey.... the next Micheal Crichton if you will... in other words, right up my alley!
The plot here is unique...impressive for such a bloated genre. The chraracter development was spot on...just enough, without slowing down the action.
I deeply appreciated the simplicity of this storyline ... the transparent and conscise progression, without unnecessary show more twists and drama, made this already frighteningly realistic concept, even more chilling.
Very well done!! Greg Player is definitely a name that will be added to my author repertoire!!

This review was written for LibraryThing Early Reviewers. The Enemy Within by Greg Player is a fast-paced, exciting thriller that kept me hooked from the first page. The story is full of twists and turns, and just when I thought I had it figured out, something new surprised me.
One of the most chilling parts is the virus at the center of it all—a weapon that doesn’t just attack the body, but destroys people’s will to live. It’s such a unique and terrifying idea, and it makes the whole story feel even more intense. It’s scary to think that show more something like this could actually happen.
If you like thrillers with great characters, smart writing, and a plot that keeps you guessing, this book is a must-read. I couldn’t put it down. Definitely a five-star read! show less

This review was written for LibraryThing Early Reviewers.I felt a bit lost in some of the action chapters of the book as it progressed, but initially, the plot was well-thought-out and flowed smoothly. The ending was a bit predictable for me, but overall, I liked this book because of its relatively realistic portrayal of a dangerous biological weapon epidemic that feels too possible in our time, when mental health issues already run rampant.
