A Dover book with over 900 illustrations. The book also goes into some detail on the way medieval houses were constructed with sections on: the Gothic, the half-timber house, the timber roof, and paneling.
I especially liked the dedication: To those who love a home which is more than a mere dwelling who appreciate the work of bygone ages when the craftsman lived for the joy of his art.
