Naomi Quenk does an outstanding job of going into detail and depth about one aspect of Jung's theory of psychological type - the Inferior Function. For anyone who is familiar with the MBTI, this will expand your understanding. She does a wondering job of describing what we look like and how we behave when we are not at our best.
Most useful thing in this book was an understanding of how different the "shadow" verson of a type preference when you're stressed (in the grip) differs from the dominant version. I saw a lot of my stereotypes about the F preference came from the fact that I normally experience F only in a primitive way when I'm "in the grip."
