Overall I thought this was a very well-written and interesting story! Elsie was spunky, and I was extremely proud of her for figuring out how trapped she was under her husband's thumb. The whole relationship between them was very believable, especially because she was so much younger than he was.

Can I please say, thank goodness the more intimate scenes between Robert and Elsie were low key. It's not that I have anything against their relationship, but I was kind of wary about reading about show more their intimate moments. I fairly despised Robert from the moment that book began. I am so glad Elsie wizened up during the book.

I also very much liked Dion, and I loved that he was so good for Elsie. Unfortunately I had a hard time believing the chemistry between them. Yes, I realize this is an Erotic Novel and therefore chemistry has to be built in somewhere throughout the story, but really? How many times does someone fall so quickly for another person? Still, I was smitten with how much they clearly loved one another above and beyond the physical attraction.

Since this was my first novel of this kind, I don't have much to base it on. However I do know that I was very impressed with the coherent storyline and the multi-dimensional characters. I would have loved this story even without the erotic elements thrown in!

There was so much in this book that I could have loved. I see so much of Megan Hart in this book it isn't funny. When I say this I mean this author has the wonderful ability to draw you into a story but she hasn't perfected the art of keeping the lines blurred enough so people can jump into her characters (like Megan Hart). She kept reminding me that I am not 20 years older than I am and that I am not in a loveless marriage, when I definitely could have felt that way for 352 pages. I will show more keep an eye on this author because I think she has amazing talent. For now, this book didn't do it for me. show less
Bestselling romance author Kayla Perrin is at it again. With her latest book, Gimme an O, she weaves a sizzling tale of suspense with her signature dose of romance. Although this reviewer is not a huge fan of romance novels, Gimme an O kept me turning the pages trying to anticipate what would happen next.

Lecia Calhoun is a sex therapist who has written The Big O, a provocative self-help book, especially Chapter 13, which has people buzzing. Anthony Beals is the handsome star quarterback of show more the Oakland Raiders, but he is in the midst of scandal, with pictures of him and a prostitute plastered in the tabloids. As a result of the scandal, Ginger, Anthony’s wife of only a few months, wants a divorce and the $5 million she’s entitled to per the prenuptial.

Lecia, while publicizing her book, makes many radio and TV appearances, including the Jay Leno show where she gets into a heated argument with none other than Anthony, who is also a guest of the show. Anthony accuses Lecia of encouraging his wife to seek divorce. Although Lecia did talk with Ginger briefly, the doctor fervently denies any wrongdoing.

When Ginger turns up missing and all fingers point to Anthony, he seeks Lecia’s help. Determined to find Ginger and make things right with his wife, the hunt is on. While searching for his wife, Anthony and Lecia make important discoveries about Ginger and themselves—discoveries that can have a serious impact on life and love.

Gimme an O is truly romantic suspense at its best. Although at times I questioned how realistic Lecia’s actions were, I enjoyed the read. With great characterization, the author makes you feel the sexual tension between Anthony and Lecia and experience their wild goose chase. Readers will be pleasantly surprised to see that at the end, the author included the infamous Chapter 13 from “The Big O”…very interesting stuff. Kudos to Ms. Perrin for writing a fast-paced, entertaining novel. Like a skillful lover, she’ll leave you begging for more.
