Sofia runs a blog on the school computers. She listens in the girls' room to get her gossip. Naturally she only hears part of the story then adds what she wants to make it sound juicy. She is upset when Mia, the most popular girl in school, likes Andrew, Sofia's crush. Then just when she thinks it cannot get any worse, her mother starts substituting at her school. What will she do?
I found Sofia a hoot. She is exactly like the girls who aren't popular but want to be and since she has access show more to blogging she hopes that she will pick up more followers for it. She also has a lot of gossip about Mia. She practices for her blog with a notebook which she loses at times. Not good because who has it, who sees it, who reads it! Fortunately she finds it but who has read it? She hopes no one but she does not know for sure. I remember Mias from my school days and it was no different back then as now.
This is fun. I enjoyed the format of a notebook as she tells her story. I also enjoyed her artwork, especially the snarky comments. They are the most truthful and school is still the same. show less

I read this book without any preconceived ideas. I have not read Ms. Cooper's first book, Rumors from the Girls' Room or any of the Wimpy Kids books that are often compared with Ms. Cooper's books. I have a young middle school child and can't get him away from the computer or blogs. This book was fun. I can't think of any other way to describe the Blogtastic Book. I've seen the word 'bubbly' used to describe the first book and couldn't agree more. I found myself laughing out loud at the show more crazy antics of the characters in this book. The trials and tribulations of a middle schooler are perfectly explained in this book. Poor Sofia and her friend Nona have the misfortune of not being in the 'popular' crowd. I look forward to more books by this author. show less

Sofia Becker eavesdrops on the most popular girls at school to find out information for her blog. She wants only the juiciest gossip so her blog will become the most famous one in school. She's also hoping it will raise her own popularity status.
There's only one problem...her blog's anonymous.
Her blog has three features: Students in the News, Teachers in the News, and Parents in the News. When she hears gossip, she can't help but post it - even show more if it might damage her friendships.
Will Sofia's blog make her a super-star or send her to social Siberia?
A cute tale for tween girls, very much like the DIARY OF A WIMPY KID series with cartoons and humor. The drawings are witty and make the diary an easy and fast read. show less
