This is a pretty good collection of papers on holy books from different traditions, but as usual there's very little comparative business going on when each author writes a separate piece. But a few exceptions to that rule can certainly be found in this book as well. Presenting Confucianism as a religion with holy books is a bit questionable and some papers seem to be a bit too far off the main topic in this collection. The papers on Christian, Islamic and Buddhist holy texts were the most show more interesting in my opinion. show less
