I haven't read through all of this book, but from what I saw in the first two chapters, it didn't seem like a very clear or concise treatment of the subject matter. Reviews on Amazon seem to back me up. It seems like it's just one of those textbooks that survives on being required for certain classes and releasing new editions every couple of years (which just makes it more bloated).
I would consider replacing it with a better book covering control systems, but right now I don't have a show more recommendation. I'll add one to the wishlist if I find something I like.

Saying I've read this book is a bit off because it's not a page-turner, it's a reference book. However, it does have some interesting chapters that I have read. If you are looking for a reference book, you might see if there is something more recent.
Good book on the practicality of entrepreneurship. Very readable as far as textbooks go.
Electronics, Power Electronics, Optoelectronics, Microwaves, Electromagnetics, and Radar (The Electrical Engineering Handbook) by Richard C. Dorf
This book of six volumes provides reference to subjects in the fields of electronics, integrated circuits, power electronics, optoelectronics, electromagnetics, light waves, and radar. There is also a section about the field of micro-lithography and power electronics. Information is provided for understanding these fields, including fabrication. This book provides answers to most inquiries and requirements are satisfied effectively. Included is direction to further sources and references. I show more highly recommend this book as a wealth of information. I own a copy of this book. show less
