52 months - What a great way to teach grammar! Oak ready knows what an exclamation point does and how to change your voice when reading aloud so this was review and a way for me to see if she'd enjoy learning grammar through books. It was a hit... We will be reading more... And the math series as well.
This was a safety book for kids in their neighborhood. Some of the safety rules where to walk home on the route you know best, only talk to the adults you know, learn your home telephone number and address, etc. This is a good book to read to any young child to remind them how to be safe in their neighborhood.
Which signs can you spot in your neighborhood? Learning about signs found in most neighborhoods supports social studies standards for young learners. Kids can watch for street signs, traffic signals, and crosswalks while learning about the messages common street signs provide for them. Colorful photos and informational text will engage readers and help them become more aware of their communities.
This informational book is about what signs (including cross walks, stop lights, ect.) you may see when walking around, what they mean, and what to do when you see one. This book is perfect to teach safety! Ages: 3-5. Source: Pierce County Library System.
