Set during the movie before Belle breaks the curse. Belle finds a dusty book kicked under the shelf and takes it with her for her bedtime story. Belle, Lumiere and Wardrobe stay up late to find out what happens but are disappointed that the last chapter is missing. Until they discover they've been left a clue to find how the story ends.

This is a charming little tale for the readers in all of us. Book lovers will undoubtedly relate to the wish to just finish one more page and the happiness show more Belle finds in the library. The treasure hunt clues were easy to follow but added a touch of whimsy to the narrative. My favourite bit though;

The Beast’s eyes widened. “She is so angry with me!” he cried. “How will I make it up to her?” He sank into a large chair, his head in his paws.
“Build her another library?” joked Lumiere. Cogsworth, Mrs. Potts, and even Chip glared at him. “Sorry,” said Lumiere sheepishly.

Oh if only.

This short novel takes place somewhere in the middle of Beauty and The Beast, Belle’s settled into life at the castle but hasn’t yet gotten to know Beast well enough to break the curse.

A solid choice for kids just getting started with chapter books, it includes the occasional illustration and a somewhat interactive story as the characters try to locate the missing final chapter of a story by banding together to solve riddles that the reader might take guesses at as well. And if you show more enjoyed the always adorable Chip and the rest of the gang from the movie, they’re all here as well. show less
Summary: This book has three graphic novels in one book. It tells the "true" story of the fairytales Hansel&Gretel, Little Red Riding Hood, and Three Billy Goats Gruff. The stories are wrote from the prespective of the villians in each book. They get the chance to tell their side of the story in a humorous way.

Personal Thoughts: I found these stories to be quite hilarious! I think the children would enjoy hearing what the bad guys have to say. I thought this graphic novel was easier to show more follow then some of the others I've seen.

Classroom Ideas:
1. I would have the class guess what the villians were going to say happened.
2. I would read the real stories first and the read Twisted Tales and compare.

This book contained three different stories that all children as well as adults are very familiar with. However, there is a twist to all the stories. The stories are told from the "bad guy" perspective. The "bad guy" tries and tell the story in a way in which they believed it happened. The three stories are Hansel and Gretel, Little Red Riding Hood, and The Three Billy Goats Gruff.

I absolutely loved this book. It was cute and put a very interesting twist on three common fairy tales. I read show more this book to Jaidyn and she was so confused. So I let her read it to me and she put her twist on the stories. It was cute.

I would definitely read this book to my class just for fun. I think they would all enjoy this book. Also, I would create a writing lesson and have my classroom pick a fairy tale and put their own twist to it.
