A frank, depressing, and unsettling, autobiography by a Polish lancer concerning his experiences in WWI as well as during the collapse of the Russian Empire and its conversion into the Soviet Union. In fact, this may be the most depressing book I've ever read. More depressing than anything by Celine or even All Quiet on the Western Front. Its anti-war message, however, is similar to All Quiet on the Western Front. Highly recommended if you can handle it. It was difficult enough to read; I show more can't imagine actually having lived through it all as Boleslavski did. show less
2026 movie #69. Theodora, a small town librarian, writes a racy best selling novel under an assumed name. She tries to keep it a secret because her neighbors would be scandalized, but, of course, the cat gets out of the bag. Enjoyable 1930's screwball comedy.
Very abstract, he is supposed to be the acting god but, if you already have some acting classes and know how behind you this is a waste of money.
