Just a place to store my favorite gripe about the series itself, which I have noted in other volumes on all sorts of topics.
Despite claims to "start from the beginning for beginners" there is always a tendency to use common jargon that is so ubiquitous the writers don't even notice they are doing it.
In this case, they say "rip a CD" without ever once explaining that they mean "copy the content of a CD onto another medium in order to move the music tracks somewhere else".

This book was extremely useful after I got my Ipod. I was totally lost. Now I download like a pro.
