Survival of Love is definitely a good read. I've even found myself thinking about it today, though I finished it yesterday. I think I just can't give it more stars because there's something missing I can't put my finger on, though I liked the characters very much and found everything more than believable. One thing I wish there had more been of was better build-up, with a deeper connection between the two main characters.

Nice little love story. What to do when you fall in love with your best friend's daughter? Denise is furious. After all, she's known Jody best and while they've been friends and partners for thirty-five years, she also knows, Jody's the love-them-and leave them type. No, Ellen needs to forget this school-girl crush and get back with Beth who comes to town to fight for her. Then all bets are off when cancer strikes, bringing fears and issues to the surface for all of them.

Nicely written, no show more great depth but a good romance, a summer read, feel good story. show less
