The best part of this book was the pictures. They were in full color and big and I now know what dozens of garden insects and their larvae look like. It has been kind of fun to sit in the garden with this book and identify all the little critters. It is a little overwhelming to know just how many diseases and insects can pester a garden, and after reading the book, I feel overwhelmed that they will all strike at once. (I did find my first cucumber beetle yesterday.) But I hope that the show more advice is good. I'll let you know.

(Just so there is no debate, I am putting this on my read shelf, even though I maybe didn't read every single word. But I did read about 90% of it, and the rest of it I skimmed enough to get the general gist. It was more than just a casual reference.) show less
