Written in a clear, easy to follow style it covers techniques suitable for both fashion and costume hats. Sadly many of the materials and supplies listed in the book are now difficult to find, but that is more to do with the general decline in fashion millinery than any fault of the text.

Is in a readable style that makes you feel like you can do it yourself with a glossary, index and a 4 page bibliography.

Excellent instructions on various ways to make hats. Includes some patterns for historical hats as well.
