Patterns for Theatrical Costumes: Garments, Trims and Accessories from Ancient Egypt to 1915 by Katherine Strand Holkeboer
Great source if you make theatre costumes, but take care if you want to reproduce clothes from a specific time- the seams are often modern. A plus is that it gives patterns for undergarments as well.
This book could be used in a class on theatre costume design, for a working drama department or for those interested in making their own re-enactment costumes. Full of pictures and line drawings to make clothing construction without patterns possible.
Patterns for Theatrical Costumes : Garments, Trims, and Accessories from Ancient Egypt to 1915 by Katherine Strand Holkeboer
This book is entirely illustrated and very easy to understand. It outlines the styles of dress worn from Ancient Egypt through the early 20th century. Patterns are easy to follow and descriptions of accessories as well as styles for hair, etc. are very useful for the costumer.
