Webster's third new international dictionary of the English language, unabridged by Philip Babcock Gove
I'd give this five stars, but I have to have something to rate the OED at. Web3 is the next-best thing, which is truly saying something. It's showing its age a bit in the lack of newer terminology, but it's a fantastic unabridged dictionary. If you can't afford the OED, get this one. (It's also on CD-ROM at Amazon for about US$45)
An old edition but a great dictionary. The definitions of antiquated words really come in handy.
In my dream world, I would have a dictionary just like this one except for being up to date (my copy is nearly as old as I am) in the bedroom, and a copy of the OED in the office. I just don't like other dictionaries quite as much.
