Publishing Lyrick

While I am not a fan of Barney, this book is one of the best for prepping a dentist visit. The real photos show a realistic dentist's office. (Mr. Roger's dentist book is also excellent on this score, and it even addresses the gender politics of professions within dentistry--women are hygienists, mostly.)

This book is an excellent choice for children that may be afraid to attend the dentist to get their teeth cleaned. Some children are afraid. Being able to see other children as well as a fictional character go to the dentist can help get them pumped and excited about going to the dentist.

Barney and BJ spend the day with a police officer and learn all about the police! Full color.
