There and Back Again: An Engineer's Tale (Miscellaneous Ramblings of an Aerospace Engineer) by Ron Phillips
the author utilizes humorous stories from his childhood life with a fighter pilot father and his subsequent 33 year career as an aerospace engineer to take a light-hearted, one-sided, and sometimes over the top approach to answering the question: Are engineers better than pilots?
The Power of Agreement: God's Secret to Your Successful Relationships with Friends, Family, and at Work by Ron Phillips
First the things I liked about this book. There were plenty of scriptures included to back up points. There were plenty of basic truths included. Most of the stories were interesting and encouraging because the authors were open and genuine with them.
The information as to why we need agreement and what it looks like (that is, what it is and how it plays out) were very solid.
The information on how to implement or how to produce the agreement seemed weak to me. And in general there were too show more many “musts” and “shoulds” throughout the book.
I disagreed with some of the marital advice and I found the information on spiritual warfare inadequate.
Also there were several times where I felt frustrated as I read this book, some of the time from what I already shared negatively, and also when I read the account of the author and co-author’s God encounter stories. They both had their own seemingly sovereignly inspired God encounter through nothing that they did or did not do (at least by what they shared). No one praying for them was even mentioned so I felt frustrated that there was nothing shared that could steer me into having any sort of similar encounter.
Overall I found this book to be good, not great, and not bad. I sincerely think that people newer to the faith would find a lot of useful information in here but those that have been saved for decades and/or have done decades of Bible study might find it a little lacking as I did. But also anyone in general who knows nothing about what agreement is or what it looks like would benefit from this book.
Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from Charisma House Publishers through their blogging for books program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commision’s 16 CFR, Part 255: “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.” show less

It was a very interesting read. I was currently working on editing a novel I was completing at the time I started reading this. I found this novel very helpful in aiding me in its completion. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to have a better understanding of the angelic and demonic other worldly element.
