Playing the Matrix is a program created by Mike Dooley to help people achieve transformation in their lives by combining the Law of Attraction with Holographic Universe concepts. Dooley has created a handy chart (aka, a matrix) to help guide you through the process, with frequent reminders that "thoughts become things" and to keep things big picture without attaching to the details. Life will surprise you if you let it! This is a great guide for anyone new to LoA or who hasn't had as much show more success with LoA as they'd like. Dooley's method is easy to understand and you can feel his enthusiasm and love for the subject on every page. While most of this information can be found for free across the internet, it's nice to have it all in one book for easy reference. show less
More Notes from the Universe is just what its title suggests – a compilation of uplifting messages to help you jumpstart your day, week, or even life written from the perspective of the Universe. Everybody needs an ego booster every now and then, and this is what this book does – it tells you how much you rock (even if you don't know it). Positive thinking is its central theme, and it was written to offer hope, peace of mind, and motivation. At its surface the notes are all fun, cute, show more witty, and simple, yet it still allows you to self-reflect on your own life. It makes you contemplate about how much power and control you really do have.

This is one of the most beautiful books I've ever read; the cover, the page designs, and most importantly, the words and wisdom are all beautiful, as well as inspirational. In fact, it's not just a book, but a guide, a friend, and a wise one at that. The book literally speaks to you as a good friend would to provide helpful and practical advice about life, dreams, and happiness. The great thing about this is that it doesn't have to be read in one sitting or in order. Any page you randomly flip to will offer a new stimulating positive message. I really enjoyed reading it, as it gave me insight on my own life. Even though everybody may be at different stages in their lives, this book will hopefully touch them if they care to listen to it.

A gazillion wonderful concepts piled in a bit incoherently. Would’ve been much improved with selecting a few for a consistent theme and more impact.
When I saw NetGalley offering this book in exchange for a review I just had to get it. That’s because I’ve been getting Mike Dooley’s ‘Notes from the Universe’ in my inbox for years now. Yes, the Universe actually sends inspiring messages via Mike Dooley! ;) These have been great pick-me-ups for me on some ‘down days’ in the past.

The book started out from a note from the Universe and then Mike decided to take the idea forward and write a book. For some reason, I found the book show more heavy to read, although I agree with the premise of it and many of the ideas that Mike has explored in it. Perhaps, I was not ready to read the book at this time. However, I can see how it can appeal to people who are struggling with the loss of a loved one.
