This read has not been what I've expected. It appeared to be an exhaustive exegetical study into youth culture, but I'm not finding much substance to go off of. The book is laden with statistics, and fair enough. . But statistics simply appraise the situation; they do not exegete it. Each chapter closes with some practical ways to 'solve' or 'fix' the problem going on. These are sufficient. I would recommend this for a parent or a new/young youthworker.

Educators, pastors, seminary or Bible college students intending to work with youth will benefit from this informative reference type book on the ever changing youth culture. Parents too can gain understanding on the problems and pressures facing the teens in their family. Close to 500 pages of well indexed content makes clear much of the mystery to those serving the young adults of younger generation.

This was a pretty good book. It is basically about meeting kids where they are at. Understanding where they come from and still being able to teach them about God.
