Kate Roth

I must say that I have recently become a HUGE fan of Kate Roth's writing. Every time I read a book of hers I fall in love with the story, her characters become so realistic and I end up with a huge crush on them. This book didn't fail in that.

I am so thrilled I read this I love Nina and Kevin so much more now. Yeah, I know you read the description and was like student teacher... ehhh, I dunno.. But trust me IT is not what your thinking. This book was sweet, romantic and not what I had show more expected. I loved how the story keeps going back and forth sharing both Nina and Kevin's feelings for each other and how they are thinking after each of there encounters. Beautifully written, leaving me wanting more more more.. But I guess knowing that they ended up together leaves me happy. Kate thank you for yet another book that has tugged at my heart. These are the lyrics Nina wrote for her relationship with Kevin.The first parts are also written in her creative writing essay,a class where Kevin teaches.
Nina and Kevin met an August night.Nina was singing at the place where Kevin went for a blind date.The moment he heard her sing he forgot about his date and focused on her.They go on a date and everything is fine.Then the school year starts and Kevin discovers that Nina is 17 years old and his student.From that point their relationship have many ups and downs.
The end was good and I can tell the same for the book.It had 73 chapters(not that it matters but still 73 are a lot chapters for a book).I finished the book with the feeling that I saw Kevin and Nina's story and don't need to read another book because this one left me unsatisfied. show less

I'm not prudish about cussing but if the constant use of the f-bomb offends you I wouldn't read this book . Sabrina does cuss a lot throughout the book. I can't stand Beau but at least he had one moment at the end of the book where he showed a level of maturity that was closer to his age and acted with something other than his penis. I adored Wade and think he is perfect for Sabrina. I was so frustrated when Sabrina had her wishy-washy moments. Although I realize alot of that has to do with the fact that Beau has been an romantic involvement in her life since she was 17 . What kind of man comes on to a 17 year old girl ? show less
