San Francisco Focus 1989.11 by Jeannette Ferrary

This issue of San Francisco Focus magazine includes a wonderful triple-profile of M.F.K. Fisher with three articles: "Philosopher in the Kitchen" by Joyce Goldstein, "Table Talk" by Jeannette Ferrarry (an interview with Fisher), and "Compliments to the Chef" by Rayford Reddell. In my opinion, it is one of the nicest profiles published of Fisher. Illustrated with many wonderful contemporary and older photos of Fisher. San Francisco Focus was the magazine for KQED members (San Francisco's PBS show more TV station), and because of the ephemeral nature of such publications, this is a rather scarce item. It is one of only three magazine profiles of Fisher to feature her on the cover. pp. 66-76, 142-143. show less

Gourmet 2008.07 by Jeannette Ferrary

Includes the article "True Confessions", written by Fisher's friend Jeannette Ferrary, (who wrote a memoir of their friendship titled Between Friends: M.F.K. Fisher and Me) wherein she recounts the contents of Fisher's "Table Book" which describes the many visitors Fisher had for meals, and discusses what was served. Illustrated with photo of Fisher in her kitchen.
