Delightfully mid-century. Dovetailed well with The Riddle of the Labyrinth, going into much more depth about what, exactly, scholars have deduced about Bronze Age Aegean societies from the scanty record left in Linear B. I'm sure the research has changed our conception of the ancient people in the past 60 years, but it's a nice base for further reading.
