An early (1907) example of eco-horror telling the tale of a mysterious natural life form in the South Pacific which has the ability to absorb all life around it including any human beings who come into contact with it.

Hope Hodgson tells a fine tale here set in the sea-going environment that so often inspired him. It should also be regarded as science fiction. There is nothing supernatural at the cause of the distress of the couple who come alongside the narrator's ship.
This story is the democracy of Athens in fifth century BC.It's wonderful time for a boy,but not so much fun for a girl.Alexis, son of Leon, learns public speaking with a teacher called Milon. But to tell the truth,he wants to write plays. So he begins to write it as the summer passes.
I like this story because I'm interested in the Athenian history in about fifth century BC.This story may be interesting for anyone who likes history. And I could know about plays a little. It's also interesting.
One day,a rich family who lives in London has to move and live in the country, in a little house near a railway line.
The father has left since then,so the mother and her three children have a difficult time waiting for him,at first.
But gradually, children come to enjoy their living near a railway line...
I thought the children are very brave, clever, and interesting.
I felt warm because there is the very strong love of family in this book.
It's good that I gradually come to understand some show more mistelies as I read.
In the last scene,I was very glad and surprised.

In this book, there're five stories about the murder plans.Of course criminals are clever, but sometimes they make bad mistakes. Some of these stories are really mysterious though, there're stupid things as well.I enjoyed almost all,but I couldn't enjoy the first one, because it was too simple.I wanted to read more tricky and mysterious story.I think this is a good book though.
