Achieving the aim by M. M. Botvinnik
An authobiographical book of the life of the 3 times world chess champion. Its tone is astonishingly frank and revealing of just the person Botvinnik was: an authentic USSR communist and a computer engineer who seems to have been in life the same as he was in playing chess: dry, scientific, and unemotional.
