Don't get me wrong. I love this book - it taught me many things. But it also demonstrates that if you put a fairly complicated diagram over something (and move it around long enough) sooner or later some things will "sort of" fall in the "right place" for your theory to apply. That would happen with a picture of the contents of a Petri dish too.
