This is a kind of psychology book with a unique perspective on the person as the result of conscious Will. And the Will itself is multifaceted aspect of personality that can be grown for fulfillment in its many different dimensions.

While the text is a bit dry, some of the ideas were very new to me and eye opening, I am surprised to not have come across this book earlier.
The Act of Will is essential reading for anyone interested in self growth or personal development, especially within the Transpersonal Psychology framework. Roberto Assagioli was the founder of the Psychosynthesis movement, and he considered the human Will as a central part of human beings, along with the self. By learning the importance of the Willed act, and developing and strengthening the Will, a person is better able to take control of their own lives and destiny. This book is also show more important, as it outlined Assagioli's concept of a 'Will Project', aimed at thoroughly exploring all beliefs and concepts of the Will, human and divine (transpersonal). The Will Project now has an online presence at http://www.willproject.org/ show less
I am actually reading this book in a Danish edition with the Danish title of "Viljens psykologi". Amazing book about the "will",how to categorize the "will" into several stages/levels and how to train it. He also suggests how to start a "Will Project" which now has a site on the internet: http://www.willproject.org.
