One of the most innovative and interesting characters to make a place for himself in the 1960s British art scene, Hamish Fulton developed a personal art form based on walking. Through photographs and texts, colors and words, this artists's book represents the space and time covered by Fulton during a 43-day coast-to-coast walk. On the pavements, roads, and paths of Portugal, Spain, the Basque Region, the Pyrenees, and France, Fulton trod a trail that started at the mouth of the Douro river show more in Porto and ended at the delta of the river Ebro in Catalonia. show less
