Cover notes / Warnings: BDSM is really the only warning. Though the blurb tells you all about that but it is not heavy and the "scenes" in this novella are really light.
Review: I love strong women characters. I don't think there are enough of them. Either they are over the top or they are helpless and fall for the knight in shining armor. I guess those can be good stories too. But I can NOT stand a whining female. Or male for that show more matter. Why are you whining?! Anyway, Macy is ALMOST but NOT QUITE a whiner. Really, she actually comes off as a total beezee. There is no way I would have stuck it out for someone like that. Uh uh. However, Jarit is your 'typical' dominant. He sees the inner person and wants to be the one to bring it out in her. After multiple orgasms of course. *Rolls Eyes* In the end, these two are so perfect for each other. The perfect Dominant man, the naturally awesome submissive. All this happens after some really cheesy dialogue, the all knowing best friend and 72 hours. For an 80 page read, this was entertaining. I had my laughs and eye rolling. But every now and then, that's what I want to read. I want a book where I KNOW how it is going to end. show less

Whoohoo. Steamy. Whilst I can't relate to Seria's 'desires', the book is HAWT! Raylar is totally confused and conflicted throughout the read, which is rather amusing. However the resolution at the end is pretty abupt. Just like this review! :) (No time to write more...)

This was a strangely good read with lots of sexual tension. The story takes place in the future and people are put in either the dominant group or the submissive group. The doms don’t sleep with other doms, only the submissives. Children aren’t born, they are created in a pod, using the best of the genes and are raised (not by parents), until adulthood.
I really liked the sexual chemistry between show more Dekalia and Marax, who are both doms and aren’t supposed to be attracted to each other. I thought that the author had a really great story and I loved how Marax and Dekalia had to merge minds to help land their space craft and each could see into each other’s minds. It was a real bonding moment and showed each other that they really were human after all. I also really liked that you could pop a pill and see someone else’s memories.
I wished some of these ideas were more fleshed out and further explored because they were really cool. The only problem I had was at the end. Ok, I don’t want to spoil any thing for anyone, and I’ll try, but there is this dream sequence thing happening that I’m still scratching my head over and am not sure what the point was. This was book 8 in the series and I have not read the other books so I’m not sure if reading the prior ones is necessary for full understanding. I enjoyed the book anyway and if you like futuristic stories, then read this book. show less

This was a short story, only 56 pages, but they really packed a wallop. The story was told in the third person so you were able to gauge the thoughts and feeling from each character.
Tristy and Grant are best friends and he’s there whenever she has a bad breakup and needs to talk. I have to say that Grant is just a nice guy. He was really likable, and the type of guy you would want to root for. He’s show more had a thing for Tristy since she moved in but didn’t want to ruin the friendship they formed. He’s a man that is in tune with a woman’s feelings but it doesn’t take away from his manliness. Tristy is a woman that is afraid of the BDSM lifestyle but at the same time is intrigued by it. She trusts Grant, is attracted to him and wants to find out if she could be the type of woman Grant wants.
This story has a lot of emotional intensity, and not just the sexual parts. Grant and Tristy have a lot of emotional intensity for each other. They each have layers of emotional “stuff”, for lack of a better word, that they are working on which lends to their complexity as a person and is the source of their problems that they need to sort out. I think that Tristy is a more complex character then Grant due to traumas stemming from her childhood. I think that Tristy needs to find out who she is and if submitting to Grant is something she can and wants to do.
Grant is complex as well, but his stem from his BDSM lifestyle and what he expects from himself and the women he’s with. Grant knows who he is, what he wants, what he expects from himself and the people in his life and won’t accept anything less. How can you fault ideals like that? I like Grant because he’s a standup type of guy that will take care of a situation but won’t make you feel like a helpless child.
Even though this was a short story it was an entertaining read with lots of sweaty sex, a sexy handsome dominant man and emotional intensity that won’t make you feel uncomfortable but is satisfying. show less
