If you want to design your own handwoven lace pieces, then you will definitely want to own this little volume. There are a few color illustrations of lace cloth, but the real value in this book are drafts and design instruction on how to create your own laces. Basketweave, huck, lace-Bronson and Atwater-Bronson, Swedish lace, Canvas weave, and more. This is a reference book to refer to over and over again. Many of the drafts in this book are four and eight shaft, but there is an appendix for show more weaving with 12 and 16 shafts at the very end of the volume. show less
A nice little volume containing information about most of the lace weaves, including how to design your own patterns. Although there are examples for multishaft looms, you will find a wealth of material for the four shaft loom. Great woven lace resource. BM
