Deborah Chandler's book is an excellent resource for new, almost new and experienced weavers. It may be as good as most weaving classes for beginners. With this book a little patience, some imagination and good mentor you will be well on your way to learning the joy of weaving.
Then after you learn to weave, it is a reference book that can aid you for years to come. Even after weaving for more than 25 years, I often turn to this book. (Wore out show more the first copy, now on the second). It has clear detailed instruction with wonderful illustrations. Photos and drawings are very well done and convey the
necessary and appropriate information. The book is well thought out and has excellent explanations to guide you into the weaving world.
Whether you are just learning to weave or want to add to your weaving library, I strongly recommend this book! show less

My favorite beginning weaving book. Debbie has covered just about every topic for beginners and it is always at the top of my recommendation list for a new weaver.
Clear, easy to understand information. I highly recommend this book. The first half is helpful for people with rigid heddle looms and then it progresses to 4 shaft looms.
This complete 4-harness weaving course will help you learn how to weave. Teaching everything from how to warp your loom, through weaving samples, doing projects, and even designing and drafting your own weave structures. If you already have some experience with warping and have completed several projects, the chapters on weave structures and drafting are an excellent introduction to more advanced techniques. Debbie Chandler is a great weaving teacher and now you can take your own weaving show more course from her right in your studio. show less
