A very informative book that breaks down the various types of depressive disorders that are recognized in the DSM IV. The author describes these disorders in laymen terms with excellent examples. Each disorder is written in a way that either a young reader or a senior reader may understand the material. The personal stories that are shared in the book make the information more relatable and allow the reader to understand the daily hardships that those with depression must overcome. This book show more is a wonderful resource for any school library or homeschooling system. It is very brief, but it packs a punch! The author wastes no space and gets to the point. A lot of information is shared in this book that can be used for other mental illnesses, such as bi-polar disorder. I strongly recommend this book if you are doing some research for a school paper and need a good source. Although it is written as a young adult book, I believe that any age group could benefit from this book. The content is too important not to pass along. show less
I wouldn't recommend this book. There's so much going on, on every page. The vocabulary words and actual text itself is complex, and the illustrations don't match.
“The US Constitution Discover How Democracy Works” by Carla Mooney is a book that not only describes different parts of our government and constitution. But also has illustrations depicting each part of the Government. I could use this to show how our government came to be how it is today. As well as make connections from our country's government and Texas Government.
