A large format book which features selected drawings by Josh Kirby. These are mainly discworld related covers, although a fair number of the double spread pages from the illustrated version of Eric are also included. In this size it's really possible to appreciate just how detaied Kirby's work really is, and the introduction gives an entertaining account of his career.

" After he was voted best artist at the 1979 Science Fiction World Convention in Brighton, American publishers Schanes & Schanes approached Kirby proposing a limited edition portfolio of prints of six paintings.
This crystallised ideas in Kirby’s mind, he completed more paintings, and the Voyage of the Ayeguy portfolio appeared in 1980. He reluctantly wrote narrative captions. The cover carried a show more version of 'Go Civilise the Savage Planets' (the Ayeguy mission) with Kirby’s own title font. " show less
