Angelina Harding gets an urgent call from her brother who she hasn't seen in years. It will cause her to get on a plane and travel thousands of miles to Australia, only to find out that her brother Marcus is now missing.

Angelina is a former Secret Service agent. She finds herself being abducted by two men as they claim to be sent by her brother to pick her up. And it was only with the help of her brother's friend, David Lemming, that Angelina escaped and now has a chance to find Marcus.

You show more will travel across the Outback…and into the enemy's arms as Angelina races against time, because her brother isn't the only one in danger. Angelina's life, and her new friend David's life, and even her country are at rick. Through it all, Angelina learns to trust and depend on David, and discovers new things about her past that she must come to terms with and learn that forgiveness is a wonderful thing.

This story was full of action and adventure, mystery and intrigue. I liked how David treated Angelina and how easily he could irritate her, especially calling her by his nickname for her. They seemed at odds with each other a lot, but also seemed very attracted to each other too. This was book 3 in this series and I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything by not reading the first two books in this series, but would like to go back and see what I missed in books one and two.

I like the way this author writes. This story was just a joy to read, even though bad things did happen in the story. The view that Stephanie Webber had on her life and her testimony for the Lord made this story even better. And I really enjoyed "Ben's Laws of Life" at the beginning of each chapter. They made me smile.

Ben Mayeaux is single and enjoying his job and his life. Out jogging one morning he sees smoke and saves Stephanie and her daughter from their burning house. Since she has no show more where to turn, Ben allows her and her daughter to take up residence in his house until hers is repaired. Stephanie is very thankful for all he is doing for her and her daughter. Ben isn't used to being around a 5 year old, but he adapted very well. The chemistry between Ben and Stephanie was fun to watch and although you can figure out the ending, it still made for a very enjoyable story. show less
While reading this book, up to the half-way mark, I kept thinking the book was definitely getting less of a five because it just seemed slow or something. It wasn't as exciting...BUT the second half was so wonderful! I loved the mystery of the stalker (even though I knew who it was the whole time), and I loved the mystery of the headaches and their outcome...

But what I loved the most about this book is that Rand had reached his decision on his future of love and marriage BEFORE "THE" event show more occurred. I have a habit of reading ahead to see what will be coming and knew of "THE" event, and I was so afraid he would make his decision on his future AFTER "THE" event, but I was pleased he didn't!!! And his being a knight in shining armor blind - now that was (SIGH) very romantic! He was such a tough guy, blind; and that was special.

I must admit I was shocked when he kissed Elizabeth in the pool that first time. I thought that was a bit tacky, but the second half of the book was SO very, very excellent!!!

Now that Rex has sworn off marriage after seeing that of his brother's, I cannot wait to read the next exciting book in this series!

Another enjoyable story in the "Everyday Heroes" series. Each story is read as a stand alone, although in this story you will meet the main character in the next book ("Storm Clouds").

Lily Hammond finds herself as a secretary for CEO Josh Staring at a security firm and feeling very safe. She has been on the run from a man who has vowed to find her and bring her back to his cult. He has already killed one man trying, which is why Lily keeps running. Her newfound faith in the Lord though, has show more helped keep her from falling apart.

Josh Staring appreciates his secretary, but doesn't really give her much notice, until one night he goes into work late and finds Lily there working with her hair down and glasses off and relaxing clothes on. He also discovers her fears when she overreacts to seeing him at work. From there on, Josh will try to get her to trust him and open up to what she is running from. But Lily doesn't want anyone else hurt because of her.

After realizing she has been found, she will have to trust Josh and he will have to let go of his past and realize that he can protect this woman he has fallen in love with.

This was a "heartwarming inspirational romance" just like the front cover says. I finished it in one evening, as once I started, I couldn't put it down until I finished. Have enjoyed all 3 books in the series very much!
