A clear introduction to the technique, with large diagrams and black and white photos. The text explains the origin of the technique in the creation of camel girths in India, how to choose materials, the basic method, and some variations. This is a clear, succinct introduction to the technique, including more modern three-dimensional art techniques. It looks to be an excellent reference book.
This monograph, started before the death of Mrs. Tidball, uses photographs and diagrams to illustrate the many potentials of the twining process. The text, written by Virginia Harvey, covers the history, looms, versatility and structure of weft twining.
