Judy Mann

The Difference was inspired by Judy Mann's need to find out how she could protect her daughter from the crippling blows that adolescence delivers to girls. She immersed herself in a two year investigation in order to research how the imbalance of power ocurred and what we can do about it today.

The library where i bought this book from placed it in the shelf, 'Feminism and Gender Issues'...and, so i picked it up with a great interest after reading its title. But, this book is okay!
It tells us nothing different than Betty Friedan or Erica Jong's books havent told us already!
I find it an okay read. This is more like a survey report book.

Judy Mann, a columnist for The Washington Post, did a two-year investigation of how girls are being raised and schooled in the United States, which results are reported here.
