Some condsider this a minor classic, the son of Charles E. Gppdspeed, THE auithor of the famed memoir, YANKEE BOOK-SELLER. Their stpre was in Boston for many decades. A detailed rendering of many facets of running a long-established storre in a large American city. it is especially strong on its treatment of the major collectors dealt with during George's reign, althoug his father's influemce is readily apparent.
