This book was useful to me, especially the section on mental training (Chapter 13). The book's primary audience is young climbers that aspire to elite levels of performance. While I am at the opposite extreme (an old scrambler that wants to explore decidedly modest mountains), I still found this book to inspire me to train for my goals and provide practical advice on building strength, endurance, and mental discipline.

Raw, rough, true, no cmpromise story telling about mountaineering. One of the, if not the best book on mountaineering I've ever read.
