Einige Wendungen in dem Roman konnten show more mich wirklich überraschen.

Andreas Gruber landet definitiv auf meiner Liste bevorzugter Krimi- und Thrillerautorin. Ich habe dieses Buch kaum aus der Hand legen können.

This is the seventh volume in the Sneijder & Nemez series and was exciting from the first page to the last.
What also fascinated me was that Gruber included Walter Pulaski in this book, as he himself is an investigator in his own series, which I love.
BKA profiler Maarten S. Sneijder narrowly escaped death during his last assignment and lost almost his entire team, including his colleague Sabine Nemez. Then a clue emerges that she, at least, may still be alive. Under intense pressure, show more Sneijder must now put together a new team to track her down and free her from the entanglements of a highly complex case. The cooperation of the eccentric Leipzig criminal investigator Walter Pulaski is crucial in this endeavour. But he is currently on the trail of a particularly gruesome crime himself and is not very helpful.

This book explores topics such as cyber attacks and old Stasis agents who cannot stop killing.

The third volume of the Walter Pulaski series was also captivating.
People are being murdered by a mysterious woman in a red dress in and around Leibzig and Vienna. While Pulaski is convinced that the dead man in the motel, who was the father of his daughter's best friend, did not die of natural causes, the dead man in Vienna was brutally murdered. Evelyn Meyers is supposed to represent the guilty party in court, but soon realises that the accused is probably not the culprit, but someone else show more who bears a striking resemblance to him. What is behind this?
In Leibzig, Pulaski is mainly concerned with preventing his daughter and her friend from investigating on their own.
Very slowly, with enormous suspense, the reader is drawn into the machinations of a family drama. Whereas in previous cases Pulaski and Meyers investigated very quickly, in this case it takes a long time for their paths to cross.

The second volume of the Walter Pulaski series also kept me captivated from the first page to the last.
The mutilated body of a young woman washes up under a Leipzig bridge. Walter Pulaski, a cynical police investigator, quickly realises that the murder of the prostitute Natalie is not a top priority for his colleagues. He investigates on his own - at his side Natalie's mother Mikaela, who wants to avenge her daughter's death at any cost. Together they come across the bloody trail of a serial show more killer, which runs via Prague and Passau all the way to Vienna. There, the young lawyer Evelyn Meyers has just taken on her own first case as a criminal defence attorney. It is about a brutal murder of a woman - and a fatal misjudgement almost makes Evelyn the next victim herself. Pulaski also finds herself in extreme danger during the investigation. show less
