Matt Labash

I usually read forewords and that was the case here. But I found myself thinking whoever wrote the foreword was pretty horrible. Suspicions confirmed when I saw the author of that - Carson Tucker. So, I got passed that shaky start with some trepidation. Labash definitely has different political leanings than I do, but he does a fairly good job of remaining neutral throughout. He interviews people from both sides of the political spectrum, but gives them respect (often probably more than they show more deserve on both sides of the scale). He does interject himself into the stories - not to the Hunter Thompson level, but it does provide insight into the workings of his mind. While I don't think I'd be casting a vote for the same candidates Labash might, I could see myself sitting at the same bar top and having a beer and fascinating conversations with him. show less
