What an amazing read. Growing up in a Catholic environment, altar boy, and all - I've never subscribed to the dogma behind the "Roman Catholic" way fully, and I knew this even as a child. Growing up, I really didn't understand fully my struggles with the church, and the people around it - but in recent years through my deep dive looking inward, and somehow I found my soul clearing up space for everyone - including those who raised me, the community I grew up around, and forth.
I wasn't taught show more explicitly that reincarnation was false, the devil's work, and so forth - but every time I bring it up as a possibility behind something - I *OFTEN* immediately sense a shift in energy with many - judgement, "oh lol, you believe in THAT".
The irony in that is we ALL inherently believe in something. I know my soul feels cleaner, and that it's on the right path being open to all concepts of possibilites.
Carol Bowman's book is solely focused on the research, experiences, and whatnot on children but - my goodness, those lil ones are here to teach us a lesson, or to provide what they "knew" from a prior life. Before you laugh at me, read this book. She includes the research she did on the history of the church at the end of the book.
Matthew 17:10-13
The disciples asked him, “Why then do the teachers of the law say that Elijah must come first?” Jesus replied, “To be sure, Elijah comes and will restore all things. But I tell you, Elijah has already come, and they did not recognize him, but have done to him everything they wished. In the same way the Son of Man is going to suffer at their hands.” Then the disciples understood that he was talking to them about John the Baptist.
This world is way to big to keep your belief system in a box you were taught, open/shut/box locked. Of course, Keep what you were taught with the things that have significance (I certainly have) - but never forget, MANY others were taught something else. Nobody is superior above the other - as God (aka the Universe in my mind) intended.
And a book on Childen's Past Lives has unlocked a new floor level in my mind. show less

I remember thinking it would be cool if it was really like this but I solidly consider it a work of fiction.
Totally convinces of the reality of reincarnation.
