Reviews
A sensible size for a field guide, with rather good pictures which seem slightly different from the norm, but probably no better than many other field guides.
Kingdon's exemplary approach includes color drawings (often with side-by-side comparisons of similar species), sketches representing a range of typical behaviors, color range maps, drawings of relevant features (teeth, skulls, paws, markings), sonograms of vocalizations and excellent text descriptions with plenty of ecological context and recognition pointers.
