The book is well-organized: you use the key in the front, and since the species accounts are in alphabetical order by scientific name it's easy to flip to the species account. The species accounts are brief: a few sentences of text and a line drawing. The text is sometimes overly terse, but the line drawings are pretty good. This is not a comprehensive field guide; it only covers the common mosses, so if you're a real bryologist you'll be disappointed. But for the rest of us, this makes a show more nice compact introduction to non-vascular plants. show less
