Pack Mates (Were Chronicles) It was cute and though it was insta-love, and the plot was simplistic, it was never boring and I cared about the characters.
Jamie is a bear shifter. He comes to the library so he can see and talk with the librarian, Brandy. Brandy is from a wealthy family but is at odds with her family on the shifter registration law that her family supports. She joins with her cousin to fight the enactment of that law. Jamie is also a member of the Coalition, which is a group of shifters trying to protect other shifters. When he finally asks her out, she discovers what he does and he learns she supports shifters. Her family show more tries to keep her seeing things their way but can they?

I enjoyed this book. I liked Jamie and Brandy. They have a lot of chemistry between them and agree on many things. I liked that Brandy worried about Jamie and he her as trouble brewed between the humans and shifters. Her family is a bunch of jerks.

My only complaint is that ends on a cliffhanger of the mystery not the romance. I need to read the rest of the series to see who is behind the troubles. I have my suspects but am I right?

Aubrey works security for her Cast. Her uncle, head of the Cast, has been murdered. The Coalition has been called in to investigate. The head of the Bird shifters investigators is Cody, Aubrey's former lover. He tells to butt out, but she does not listen. She finds the perp but ends up in trouble. Will Cody be able to rescue her?

I liked this couple. They are strong separately and together. They butt heads a lot but learn to work together. The world building is good. It sets up the series show more well. The story is weak as there are more questions than answers. How did the murderer get as far as he did? Why was no alarm raised from where he came? How did he get away with it? Why? There were a few lines about his motive and opportunity, but they felt throwaway at best. I do look forward to reading more of the series. show less
Madison, a witch, is attracted to both vampire, Dante, and wolf shifter, Tom. They want her to choose between them, but she cannot. When her business is broken into, they both follow her home, and she makes them leave. When she tells Tom the next day there were footprints behind her house, he does not want her staying in her home. She will not leave her home, so Tom and Dante decide to be by her side when possible. They also decide to double team Madison. She then realizes she cannot choose show more either. She wants them both. Madison's brother returns and difficulties happen. Can Madison handle her brother? Will her brother destroy her and her men?

I enjoyed this story. It was too short and could use some fleshing out with more backstory about Madison and her witch side as well as what happened in the past with her grandparents and her brother.

I liked Madison, Tom, and Dante. They are good together. Madison is stubborn but so are the men. I was glad that Madison could not make the choice. It makes for a hotter story (in more ways than one.) I would like to see more of these characters. I would like to see more development of them.
