- Short biography
- Jane Hamilton was born on 15 september 1965. After six years working as a software tester for CompuServe Inc., she's working as a Business Analyst for the State of Ohio. In her past she also has traveled with an alternative rock band and currently volunteers for her local police department as a photographer. She left the world of big business to carry on conversations with the people who live in her mind, fictional characters that is. She writes her novels according to her mood - if she's feeling dark and dangerous, she writes as J. C. Wilder, and if she's feeling sassy and brazen, she writes as Dominieque Adair.
She lives in Westerville, Central Ohio where she's owned by a Japanese Akita named Severena and a really obnoxious Jack Russell Terrier named Copper Penny. She spends the majority of her time dusting her 6,000 books and staring at her blank computer screen in complete terror. When not writing, she devotes much of her time to studying the medicinal uses of herbs and essential oils. - Nationality

Synnamon Angelov is looking for some answers. The night her childhood ended was when her mother was found murdered on a country road. She and her siblings were separated and all that was familiar torn from their grasp.
Now, twenty years later, Syn returns to Salem, Ohio, a grown woman in search of the truth. Life hasn’t been easy for her but she’s determined to reunite her family. Two things stand in her way, the townsfolk want nothing to do with her and then there’s the handsome Chief show more of Police, Matthew Whitefeater.
Matt is a no-nonsense kind of a man. The law is black and white and that’s just the way he likes it. When Syn returns home, bringing with her a criminal record and more attitude than one woman should have, he starts hearing rumors of witchcraft and murder. Discounting the stories as some overactive imaginations, it wasn’t until someone starts shoots up her home that Matt comes to realize that something just isn’t right. But how does on go about investigating a closed case when most of the evidence is missing?
Together they work to ferret out the truth about Victoria Angelov’s death. Was it a murder or a police cover up? And just what happened to Syn’s three sisters?
I’ve long been an admirer of Wilder’s work and this book is top drawer. Syn is a deep, complex character who has gone through the agonies of the damned and has come out on the other side. She embraces her faults acknowledges that they are a part of who she is and nothing to be ashamed of.
I have only one word for the hero, Matt, and that’s YUMMY. He’s everything a woman would want in a hero, protective, intelligent, funny, commanding, in control and utterly sexy. His ability to accept and adapt to Syn’s quirks will just make your heart sigh with delight.
Winter’s Daughter is the pinnacle of Wilder’s career so far. It is an engrossing tale with twists and turns that left me speechless. Usually I have an idea what the ending of a book will be and this one caught me by surprise - I never saw it coming. If you are looking for a fast paced, spooky, paranormal read - run, don’t walk to get Winter’s Daughter, you won’t be disappointed.
P.S. Matthew Whitefeather is the twin brother of Micah from Wilder’s Tactical Series. show less

Volume III of her The Shadow Dwellers Series involves the human and preternatural worlds. This romantic erotic book includes vampires and were-cats in a story of love and loyalty.
One year has past and the story continues. The Council is in shambles and some elders have defected to the rogue vampire Mikhail. In Colorado, the five girlfriends get together for Erihn’s birthday party. Their wish for Erihn, the romance novelist is to find someone who will love her and make her forget the show more horrible experience of being held as a hostage and tortured many years before. Shai, Val and Jennifer’s friend Fayne comes to the party and instantly is attracted to Erihn. Little does Erihn know that her recent book about were-cats could only have been written about Fayne? Val’s library was where Erihn found a strange diary about these unusual creatures.
Jennifer offers Erihn a hideaway to do research but neglects to tell her Fayne is also staying there. The story of their mutual attraction is delightfully written between hot tub, mud slides, motorcycle rides, and iced tea. These two are extremely hot together. Both characters realize they can help each other to forget the past.
The Council defects come after Erihn to get the mysterious diary. The story line now involves murder, daring rescue attempts, and fights to the finish. Love does conquer all and they story ends with Erihn getting the upper hand.
I recommend this book for its erotic story with plenty of humor and look forward to the next installation in the series, Redemption. show less

I really liked this story, just wish it would have been longer, it's a very short read. There was so much between Rand and John, but it was a rushed romance, however, it was funny and a really good read. I would have given it a 4, possibly 5 if it would've been longer.
Despite an interesting plot and a gentle eroticism, the book is weakened by its predictability and the quotidian writing style. The repetition of some phrases is particularly distracting: 'nether regions' is just one such overused phrase.
