This book is adorable. It is about a character names Grover who is going through his day and nothing seems to be going right. He hurts himself in the morning when he is trying to get ready, he was late to school, he got caught in the rain, etc. By the end of the day, Grover is so sad and grumpy, and needs some cheering up. Luckily, he has his friends and family there to help and support him.

I think this book would be very beneficial to students. It shows them that everyone has bad days, and show more that is o.k. They can always count on their friends and family to cheer them up!
I also enjoyed this book because although not many things were going too well throughout the day, the author walks his readers through a normal daily routine of a child, and students can certainly relate to that.

I loved this book as a child and would pretend I was Grover when I would get ready in the morning. Great for teaching children how to dress themselves. Kindergardeners would love this book as much as me.
In this book Grover has a bad, awful day and everything seems to be going wrong for him. At the end of the day his mom tells him everyone has bad days and not to let it make you feel bad about yourself. This is a good lesson for children to learn about when things are hard or not going your way.
1st -3rd. Grover wakes up having a bad day and nothing goes right the whole day.
